DPN Member Anthony Williams of Just Software Solutions Ltd will be presenting a session on "Designing Multithreaded Applications in C++0x" at ACCU 2009 on 23rd April 2009. This talk will cover the thread library that will be part of the new C++ Standard (C++0x) and how to use it to design portable multithreaded applications.
This talk is based on Anthony's upcoming book ", which is due to be published by Manning. The book will provide a complete tutorial and reference to the new C++0x thread library. can be purchased from the publisher.
The ACCU 2009 conference is a 4 day conference from Wednesday 22nd April to Saturday 25th April 2009, at the Barcelo hotel in Oxford. There are presentations on C++, and Java as well as dynamic languages such as Python and functional languages such as Erlang and Haskell. Speakers include Robert "Uncle Bob" Martin, Michael Feathers, Andrei Alexandrescu, Nicolai Josuttis and John Lakos.
