The Skills Development Fund is available to pay for an extremely wide range of activities (not just training days or courses) as long as they meet the Fund’s basic criteria.
Applicants from the media sector will be supported by part funding provided by South West Screen and can apply as long as their proposals address the following skill areas, which have been identified by South West Screen:
· Script writing and supervision
· Project Management and leadership
· Company business skills
· Convergence and related digital media technical skills
The Skills Funds are operated on a rolling programme and applications are considered at the end of each month. For more information please email Creative Skills: admin@creativeskills.org.uk
Media practitioners can also access the South West Training Bursary Fund via South West Screen, which can provide funding for attendance at industry approved short courses, seminars and workshops within the same skill areas.
