Member news: Kerensa Consulting Ltd is proud to announce the launch of the St Ives September Festival website for 2007This year, as the festival gets bigger and bigger, we have added online ticket sales to allow visitors to purchase tickets at any time of day at the identical rates to the traditional ticket sources. Although all of the main acts have been confirmed, the festival has a very diverse and eclectic mix of performers and categories.As these are booked and confirmed they will be added to the website using a bespoke content management system developed just for this project. This will allow the festival organisers to add acts to the site with full details including full descriptions, photographs, ticket prices, band websites and more. There is also sophisticated built in SEO technology and tracking software to maximise the effectiveness of the site over the next few months. An email-based mailing list has been set up to allow the festival committee to keep hundreds of subscribers natiponwide informed of the latest program additions as the planning continues. Nick Stanton, Managing Director of Kerensa Consulting Ltd says "This is the third year we have developed the website for the September Festival. In the past we have used static pages, a CMS system from Joomla and now our own database driven content management system. We are already looking at ways of making the site even more powerful for the 2008 festival, with more emphasis on broadband technologies. This project is typical of the mix of skills which we can bring for out clients, particularly the seamless integration of eCommerce, Content Management and Promotion."
