Reasons to Love the Earth
The 2000 Foundation was erected in 1993 by members of the International Media Club in The Netherlands. A lecture on the environment inspired some members to initiate a project, which would approach the environment in a positive way by focussing on the beauty of the Earth. Mission Statement Enjoy the beauty of the Earth, enjoy the future! To love the Earth is to preserve it for the future. But first of all, mankind has to become aware of the beauty of the Earth, discover that our planet is a partner, a provider of life. This positive approach will encourage and inspire to cherish our environment. The art-project '1001 Reasons to Love the Earth' is unique in the world. It creates an opportunity for professional artists from all over the world to present themselves in the book and at the exhibitions. A great platform to achieve a worldwide recognition. The book will be distributed to museums, libraries, artist- and cultural organizations and galleries all over the world.
